Riley Gaines addressed a crowd of about 150 students and community members Tuesday on HUB Lawn for "X/X Day," a social media movement to recognize biological females.
Gaines is slated to speak on campus this afternoon.
The fraternity was put on interim suspension on August 25 while hazing allegations were investigated and has since been suspended until fall 2027 for its violations.
“As a community, we bear a responsibility to make sure that things like this do not happen and that all members of our community are welcomed."
Penn State placed in the top 6% globally among 1,900 universities.
