
D.J. Richardson scored 18 points and Brandon Paul added 16 to help Illinois hold off Penn State 64-59 in a sloppy battle Thursday night in Champaign. Penn State was plagued by turnovers and a committed a season-high 31 personal fouls as they continue to search for their first Big Ten win of the season. The Nittany Lions were led offensively by Jermaine Marshall and Sasa Borovnjak, who scored 20 and 17 points, respectively.

Due to a dominating offensive effort from the Lady Lions, Penn State beat the Illini 95-62 to boost their record to 12-1 in the Big Ten Conference.

On February 12th, 2013, the International Olympic Committee made an unexpected change to the 2020 Olympic Games that would stun a core part of the Penn State community and Penn State athletics. Penn State Wrestling, which won consecutive NCAA national titles in 2011 and 2012, has been an integral component in the success of athletics here at PSU. Although winning the NCAA Championship is a monumental success, many of Penn State's wrestlers are looking forward in hopes of winning the one and only -- an Olympic gold medal.

Jermaine Marshall missed four three throws on the night. When he needed to miss a fifth one, he did the opposite. The moment proved to be symbolic of Penn State's frustrating season as the Nittany Lions fell to Iowa 74-72 at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The 8th-ranked Lady Lions (21-3 overall, 11-1 Big Ten) pulled away from a close first half -- a move that is becoming routine -- to beat Big Ten opponent Iowa (16-10, 5-7) 81-69, in a Valentine's Day matchup in Iowa City.

Penn State Men's Hockey still has two more games to play at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion this weekend, but the date is already set for the first contest in Pegula Ice Arena next October.
