A Morning Stroll and a Shooting?
Last Wednesday morning at about 6:45 a.m., a Centre County woman was walking a dog with a friend by the mountain when she was shot by a turkey hunter.
WJACTV.com reported the following:
The woman was walking near the Tussey Mountain Ski Resort on Bear Meadows Road when she was shot…Police said it was unintentional, and that the woman was shot by a turkey hunter. She’s now in the Hershey Medical Center in serious condition, but she’s expected to survive.
According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, spring gobbler season goes until May 31, so refrain from taking a morning stroll by Tussey or on Penn State game lands until then.
