The field hockey team got two much-needed wins last week to rebound from a tough start to the season.

Penn State had two home games this past week. The first one was last Sunday against Lock Haven. The teams went into the half tied 1-1, but the Lions would dominate in the second half and win 3-1. The win ended a two game losing streak and gave the team some confidence heading into their midweek game.

On Wednesday night, Penn State took on Lafayette. Penn State went into the half with a 1-0 lead on a goal from sophomore Kelsey Amy. Amy would score again in the second, along with junior Jessica Longstreth, to lead the Nittany Lions to a 3-0 win.

The back-to-back wins mean that Penn State is now 3-2 on the season. The Nittany Lions have two road games this week before the start of Big 10 play. They will not have to travel far, though, as both games are in Pennsylvania.
