Comcast Offers Free Boxes To Help With Move Out

Do you find yourself creeping around the trash rooms in your building looking for boxes to pack your stuff in at the end of the semester? Look no further! Comcast’s XFINITY TV, Internet, and Voice is offering Penn State students free boxes to help with the move out process these next few weeks. To obtain the boxes all you have to do is text “PSU” to 72579.

This is not a scam, nor is this a way for Comcast to jack up your cell phone bill by sending you annoying texts every week. After texting PSU to 72579 you will be given a survey which asks what year you will be next year and when your lease starts. After answering those two simple questions you receive one final text granting you access to two free moving boxes, which you can pick up at the big red tent in front of the Student Book Store on College Ave.

“The promotion is aimed at students who are moving out of their dorms/apartments and might be interested in getting Comcast service when they return,” says Fran Roach, Lead Brand Ambassador. “Comcast will follow up with one more text towards the end of summer with a special deal for college students only.”

Graduating students can still sign up too, they just get a different question which asks what zip code they will be moving to. Student Brand Ambassadors will be at the Comcast tent from now until Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Spread the word to your roommates and bring your confirmation texts to redeem your boxes today!

“If you’ve ever seen the movie You’ve Got Mail, you’ll understand me when I say I have the “Kathleen Kelly Syndrome.” I often have trouble saying exactly what I mean. Instead, I find it easier to outsource by using quotes or songs to convey my message. That’s why you’ll find a few of my favorites scattered throughout this post: my senior column.”
