5 Places To Avoid This Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, it’s easy to get nervous about where to take that special someone for a nice dinner. Here are some places to avoid:

5. Canyon Pizza

Valentine’s Day is all about love, intimacy, and fine dining. Unfortunately, Canyon Pizza offers none of those qualities. Don’t get me wrong, Canyon is a great place to go if you want to grab a late night slice of dollar pizza and then puke in the conveniently placed trashcan outside. Please (Please!), however, don’t take a date here on Valentine’s Day. Your significant other will thank you.

4. East Dining Halls

In reality, any dining hall would be a place to not take a date to on Valentine’s Day. East Dining Halls, however, would probably be the worst. There are probably few things less romantic then eating average dining hall food while overhearing freshmen talk about how “wasted they got last night, bro!”

3. Are U Hungry

One of their best sandwiches, the “Fat Bitch,” is a nice mix of mozzarella sticks, a chicken tender, steak, fries, ketchup, and mayonnaise. Is it delicious? Yes. But splitting a nice “Fat Bitch” with a date on Valentine’s Day just sounds disgusting, and, quite frankly, a little weird (unless that’s your thing).

2. The Tavern

At first glance, The Tavern would seem like a great place to go on Valentine’s Day. The venue is nice, and the food is exquisite. However, once you’re inside, you realize that you, your date, and a ton of alumni are the only ones eating there. The date gets a little less romantic after having to overhear everyone talking about their “glory days” at Penn State.

1. McDonalds

This one should be pretty self-explanatory. Friends don’t let friends take their dates to McDonalds, especially on Valentine’s Day. Don’t be that guy that treats his date to a nice Big Mac on Valentine’s day. Nobody likes that guy.
