Loni Love, former electrical engineer turned stand-up comedian, will perform in Alumni Hall Tuesday, April 3 at 8:00 pm. Love was named one of the “Top 10 Comics to Watch” by Variety and Comedy Central. Campus Activity Magazine named her “Hot Comic” in 2009.

Love performed standup at The Laugh Factory while she worked as an electrical engineer at Xerox. After eight years at Xerox, Love decided to leave her job to make a living in comedy. Love says performing for live audiences was her first love (pun intended), and you can see it in her work. Whether she’s making fun of Kanye West, calling Taylor Swift the Cinderella of America or talking about her love of brown liquor, Love is sure to deliver the laughs.

Love performed on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and filmed her first special for Comedy Central in 2007. Shes performed on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn,” as well as on VH1’s “I Love the 70’s,80’s,90’s.”

This is a ticketless event. Students with a valid PSU photo id will be let in for free on a first come, first serve basis. This show is a part of SPA’s annual April Fool’s Comedy Month. More acts will continue to be announced.
