India Pavilion: A Review

I didn’t grow up on Indian food -- I didn’t even taste my first bite of it until a high school friend invited me over to his house. His mom would always insist on cooking for us, even if we weren’t hungry, creating a dazzling spread of naan, saag paneer, and lentils. The combination of warm spices and love are, what I think, the things that make Indian food so welcoming (especially on a cold day). India Pavilion is the epitome of what Indian food is all about.

Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital Brings Hope

The Penn State Hershey Children’s Hostpital celebrated its official completion this week with several dedications. On Saturday the brand new 263,000 square-foot facility opened its doors for a public dedication. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the dedication with Penn State Altoona benefiting THON’s Four Diamonds family, the Kratzers. This was the first opportunity for the public to get an inside look at the new hospital which cost nearly $207 million dollars. To many, the hospital is more than just a building -- it will serve as home.

SRTEs have been around since 1985, and offer the standard questions that help departments evaluate the effectiveness of professors. But maybe they should ask some of these, too, for a more "honest" assessment.

A Letter From the Mauti Family to the Penn State Community

It's certainly been an emotional year for the Mauti family. From taking over as the emotional leader of the team, to the heartbreaking injury at the end, Michael Mauti has garnered the love and support of the Penn State family that is nearly unmatched by any player in our history.

His brother Pat, who also played at Penn State from 2005-2008, sent this letter to The School Philly on behalf of his family.
