aturday afternoon: THON child Gavin Howe is still in the hospital after receiving a chemotherapy treatment on Tuesday. He and his family are unsure if they will even be able to make it to their first THON as a Four Diamonds family.

Monday afternoon: Gavin Howe is in remission, less than 24 hours after the end of THON '13.

Bars Will Be Dry on State Patty’s Day

Downtown State College may be filled with green this Saturday, but if you want to drink, you won't be able to do so at the bars. The Tavern Association of State College reached an agreement today with the Campus-Community Partnership on Dangerous Drinking, in which they agreed to stop all alcohol sales on State Patty's Day.
