Restaurant Orgy Continues, Perkins Eyes State College Return

First IHOP, then Quaker Steak and Lube, now Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery is getting back into the State College restaurant scene.

The Centre Daily Times is reporting that Perkins has filed a preliminary plan to the township to open up a 132-seat restaurant next to Eastview Plaza on Benner Pike.

Spring commencement speakers were announced earlier today, and I would be surprised if anyone outside of the College of Communications had ever heard of their designated speaker.

Free Self Defense Class For Female Students

The University Police Department is now offering a free self defense class open to all female students. The course is completely free and works to educate women on how to avoid or prevent dangerous situations from occurring, as well as teaches women how to defend themselves should a situation arise.
