Penn State Lacrosse Joining Big Ten in 2015

Both Penn State men's and women's lacrosse are set to join a newly formed Big Ten conference beginning in spring 2015. Perennial powerhouse Johns Hopkins joining the conference on the men's side should make for exciting times in Happy Valley.

2015 B1G Schedule Released

Penn State's 2015 Big Ten schedule will include a conference opener at home and a game at an NFL stadium. Released this morning, the 2015 conference slate is similar to the 2014 schedule with the locations flip-flopped. Like the season prior, the Nittany Lions and Rutgers will get things started two weeks early on September 19, this time at Beaver Stadium.

Yee-haw! Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Coming to State College

Texas-based barbecue chain Dickey's Barbecue Pit is set to open at 333 Benner Pike (behind Barnes & Noble) later this summer, as first reported by the Centre Daily Times.

Sen. Mitchell’s Third Athletic Integrity Report Predictably Praises Penn State’s Progress

As mandated by the NCAA "consent" decree, Sen. George Mitchell has released his third quarterly report on Penn State's athletic integrity compliance. Like the first two reports, it praises Penn State's compliance with all athletic integrity issues and the progress made in implementing recommended changes in the Freeh report.
