According to a report from the Big Ten Network, it looks like the football team won’t be the only team with uniform changes this year. It was announced yesterday that the Men’s Basketball team will be sporting new “Aerographic” uniforms for the 2013-2014 season.

Not many details have been released, but other schools that have the Aerographic designs have used things like logos and significant buildings on campus (Perhaps an Old Main silhouette is in the works?). Other Big Ten schools that have used these type of uniforms include Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio State, Michigian State, and Purdue — all Nike-sponsored teams. (Iowa is now the only B1G school sponsored by Nike that doesn’t use them.)

Nittany Nation president Darnell Brady said he’s excited about the change. “I think it is about time that we get some updated gear from Nike,” he added. He also said he’d like to see a keystone symbol worked into the uniform because it has a strong meaning and is unique to Penn State.

These new uniforms will add on to the current, traditional blue and white uniforms as well as the greys introduced in the 2011-2012 season. They will be introduced in “a few months,” according to the team’s confirmation.
