Penn State received news worth bragging about in the Aug. 26 issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology. Penn State was named a top supplier of workers and a valued alma mater, the result of a survey given to defense and aerospace firms.

If you ever see a big, bouncy head of blonde curls running around campus, take a second look -- you may be in the presence of an Insta-Celebrity. Her name is Jadah Bird and she has, as far as we know, the largest social media following at Penn State with almost 280,000 Instagram followers on @JadahDoll -- or roughly 112 times more than us.

It's time again to start voting for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year, an award that goes to the college football coach who best demonstrates "responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and excellence both on and off the field." If Bill O'Brien doesn't fit that bill perfectly, I don't know who does.
