If you’ve always wanted a shot to fix UPUA’s inadequacies, here’s your chance.

From this Monday until the Friday before spring break, UPUA will accept registration for candidacy for the upcoming election on April 2. Students will be able to run for either their respective academic college or one of 20 at-large representative positions, in addition to President and Vice President (if you’re feeling extra ambitious).

This is an excellent opportunity for those interested to make UPUA history, as the 9th assembly will be the first to feature the restructured system voted on at last meeting.

Interested students should stop by 314 HUB from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. anytime during the next two weeks to pick up a registration packet. If there’s no one in 314 HUB, there should be signs directing you where to go. At-large representatives will need 250 signatures for to be considered for candidacy, while executive tickets require 500 signatures.
