Diplo to Perform at Bryce Jordan Center

Grammy-nominated DJ, Diplo, is set to perform at the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m.

Though he’s popular with today’s dance music crowd, Diplo’s career began back in 2004 with the release of “Florida,” his debut album. The album quickly earned praise from the dance community, and his musical success continued. In 2008, the producer founded Major Lazer, which would eventually include producer Switch.

Diplo’s success doesn’t stop at his own music. He’s also a prominent producer, working with artists like Usher, Snoop Lion, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, No Doubt, Beyonce, Madonna, and Pharrell.  Diplo’s most famous production, Paper Planes by MIA, hit No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2008.

He founded his own record label, Mad Decent, in 2005 which has released music by Santigold, Lil’ Jon, RiFF RAFF, and Bosco Delrey. His more recent successes include his 2012 EP “Express Yourself” and single “Revolution,” his biggest hit so far after breaking into the pop Top 40 charts.

General admission tickets for the concert are $58. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Dec. 16 at noon for purchase at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, the Penn State Downtown Theatre, online, or by phone at (800) 745-3000. You can check out some of Diplo’s songs below:
