Performing Arts School of Central Pennsylvania To Present ‘The Nutcracker’
Christmas is coming to Happy Valley a few weeks early — The Performing Arts School of Central Pennsylvania will perform everyone’s Christmas favorite, “The Nutcracker,” for two shows in Eisenhower Auditorium this weekend, Dec. 13-14.
The classic play tells the story of a young girl named Clara, who finds her nutcracker has come to life on Christmas Eve. The play is known for its famous score by Russian composer Tchaikovsky and its dreamlike themes and costumes.
Guests who attend the play will also be treated to a prelude performance by the Central Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra.
Tickets are $10 for students with a student ID. Tickets for the general public are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for children. You can buy tickets for the performance online.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14.
