President Barron Proposes Tuition Freeze In State Senate Budget Hearing

If Governor Tom Wolf's budget is passed, increasing the state allocation to Penn State in the process, in-state students would reap the benefits of a tuition freeze as a result. President Eric Barron announced the planned freeze at a Pennsylvania State Senate Appropriations hearing on Tuesday, potentially paving the way for the university's first tuition freeze since 1967, a whopping 48 years ago, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Who Is James Vivenzio, The Informant Behind The KDR Allegations?

Vivenzio was a junior from Great Falls, Virginia, according to his LinkedIn page. He is no longer enrolled as a student, according to the university. “Our son did the right thing here and voluntarily reported abhorrent and dangerous criminal activity to the authorities,” Vivenzio’s parents said in a statement to the Washington Post.

Record 500 Penn State Student-Athletes Earn At Least 3.0 GPA in the Fall

Penn State athletes continue to excel on the field and in the classroom. A record 500 student-athletes earned at least a 3.0 grade point average. Of those 500, 241 of these athletes earned dean's list honors with a GPA of 3.5, according to GoPSUSports.

Candidates Engage In First UPUA 2015 Presidential Debate

The first presidential debate of the 2015 UPUA election took place last night, with each ticket addressing a slew of issues at the forefront. Ryan Belz, Hamsa Fayed, Emily McDonald, and Shannon Rafferty sat in front of their peers, accompanied by their respective running mates--Zach Longstreth, Dylan Sundy, Terry Ford, and Gokul Sundar. The mood felt light, as each ticket seemed to agree with the other's plan, asking thorough questions with the hopes of gaining a better understanding of each ticket's plan going forward.

A Penn State Engagement, Fraternity Style

This weekend, two seniors gave Penn State its own big, fat Greek engagement. With the help of his friends, family and fraternity, Chris Burnside proposed to his girlfriend of 5 years, Priscilla Marsala, on Sunday at the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity house.
