Birthday Cake Ice Cream Name Announced
After months of waiting and numerous suggestions, we finally have a name for the Creamery’s 150th Anniversary flavor contest winner, birthday cake: Birthday Bash.
In honor of the sesquicentennial celebration, Berkey Creamery relied heavily on fans to decide what would appear next in their freezers. Fans were responsible for voting on a cake-related flavor (even though runner-up strawberry cheesecake is still going to be available) as well as submitting ideas for a name for the new flavor.
Birthday cake won the competition by a slim 1.2 percent margin, and so far has received positive reviews.
Unfortunately, the creamery didn’t go with my suggestion:
