Penn State Hockey To Honor Connor Darcey With Helmet Decals
The Penn State men’s hockey team announced via Twitter that starting tonight, during its home stint against AIC, all players will adorn their helmets with a decal containing the initials “CD,” honoring the late Penn State men’s lacrosse player Connor Darcey. The Nittany Lions will then wear the decal for the rest of the season.
Darcey, who tragically passed away at the age of 21, was a talented goalie for the Nittany Lions. He earned several awards, such as the first-ever Big Ten Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, as well as being named to the 2015 Big Ten All-Tournament Team, where he started in goal.
Penn State Hockey tweeted out an image of the decal and where it will be placed.
