Illusionist Joshua Jordan To Perform In The HUB

Looking to bring a little mind-blowing magic into your weekly routine? Lucky for you, SPA’s got it covered.

The Student Programming Association announced Tuesday morning that Joshua Jordan, a magician, comedian, and illusionist, will perform in the HUB’s Heritage Hall on Thursday, February 11. The show will start at 8 p.m. and, according to SPA, will include “mind-blowing magic tricks and hilarious comedy.”

Jordan is an award-winning magician, comedian, and international speaker. His website describes his show as “improvised, witty, and jaw-dropping,” and his style as a performer as unique due to the fact that he weaves comedy into his tricks. Jordan uses a number of effects and misdirection to highlight different deceptions in everyday life. Check out a few of his tricks:

Admission is free for all students so long as they have a valid PSU ID and attend University Park. SPA asks that patrons leave backpacks and/or large purses at home as they won’t be permitted inside Heritage Hall for the performance.

It’s certainly going to be a busy week for SPA: before Jordan bring his magic and illusions to Heritage Hall, the Cold War Kids will take over Alumni Hall on Friday night for an also-free show as part of SPA’s LateNight series. And after the organization hosted its first annual SPA Day just more than a week ago, it looks like it’s going to be a semester full of free entertainment.
