DOTD: Tim Frazier Sets Career High, Earns SportsCenter Top 10 Spot

New Orleans’ season comes to a close on Wednesday against Minnesota, and the saddest part about it is that we don’t get to watch Tim Frazier dominate anymore.

Frazier has been one of the few bright spots for the Pelicans since his debut on March 16 against Sacramento. He’s averaging 13.6 points, 4.5 boards and seven assists in 15 games, and he’s actively making the team more fun to watch.

In last night’s 121-116 loss to Chicago, Frazier set a new career-high with 20 points and also added six rebounds and 11 assists. But more importantly than that, he landed the No. 8 spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays with a silky smooth finger roll in the fourth quarter.

“I definitely feel more comfortable,” Frazier said after the game. “Any time you get more time with the team, you become more comfortable out there. You gain a sense of respect as well in the locker room. I think I’ve grown that.”

Frazier is playing so well right now, even former teammates are tweeting about him.

The Pelicans, decimated by injury, won’t be makng the playoffs this year with a 30-51 record. We can only hope that Frazier will be on the team next year to help it return to the playoffs.
