Florida Georgia Line Is Coming To State College In 2017

Update, Nov. 22: The date is set: Florida Georgia Line will play the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday, March 25. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 22 at 10 a.m. at all of the usual BJC outlets: Ticketmaster.com, the Bryce Jordan Center Box Office, or by calling 800-745-3000.

Original Story: Country pop duo Florida Georgia Line announced an extension of their “Dig Your Roots” Tour this morning that includes 28 additional stops across the U.S. Though they didn’t release any dates yet, the second leg of the tour is scheduled to kick off in January and State College is listed as the 22nd city they’ll cruise into.

Florida Georgia Line is made up of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and broke onto the country scene in 2012 with their song “Cruise,” which is one of the best-selling digital country tracks of all time and spent 24 weeks at the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. The band has also seen major success both in country and mainstream music with “This Is How We Roll,” and, more recently, “H.O.L.Y.” If you somehow have never heard it, here’s “Cruise,” which has been certified platinum 10-times over.

Dustin Lynch will join Florida Georgia Line throughout the Dig Your Roots Tour part two, as will country artist Chris Lane. There is no venue set yet for the show, but considering it will be winter when the duo comes, the concert won’t be Beaver Stadium’s first so it will most likely just be in the boring ol’ BJC. Ticketing information will be released in November when the date and venue will also be identified.

FLG won’t be the only country concert in early 2017, as Brantley Gilbert announced a show at the Bryce Jordan Center on February 3. In the last year, State College has seen Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, and Jason Aldean.
