Pattee & Paterno Libraries Reinstate Sunday Hours

After extending spring hours earlier this month, Penn State’s Pattee and Paterno Libraries will reinstate regular Sunday hours beginning Sunday, March 28.

The first floor and ground floor Collaboration Commons spaces will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. Self-service pickups of library materials will also be available upon request.

Regular weekday hours for the libraries will not change.

“We look forward to welcoming students back to our spaces on Sundays, while also ensuring that additional employees who may be returning to work on site may do so safely,” said Leo Lo, University Libraries associate dean for Learning, Undergraduate Services, and Commonwealth Campuses.

The Curtin Road entrance to Paterno Library will continue to open at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays for quiet study, and the Starbucks will open at 8 a.m. Pattee Library’s ground floor Collaboration Commons entrance will also open at 8 a.m, and the Knowledge Commons and Commons Services desk will open at 9 a.m.

The self-service pickup area for requested checkout items will continue to open at 11 a.m.

However, on Sunday, April 4, the complex will close early at 6 p.m. for the Easter holiday.

The Ask a Librarian Service, which can be accessed here, is staffed from noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
