Penn State Hoops Forward Patrick Kelly Transfers To Fordham
Former Penn State men’s basketball forward Patrick Kelly will transfer to Fordham this offseason, according to an announcement posted on his Twitter page Saturday.
Kelly first entered the NCAA’s transfer portal in January. Now, he’ll leave Happy Valley and head to New York City to join the Rams.
“I would like to thank Coach [Pat] Chambers and the staff, the whole Penn State community, and my teammates for an unforgettable 2 years,” Kelly wrote. “I am so grateful for the brotherhood that will be for a lifetime. There will always be blue and white in my heart.”

Kelly played sparingly for the Nittany Lions this season. In just 12 minutes of action, he contributed zero points on three shots. He also posted two offensive rebounds and an assist.
The Raleigh, North Carolina native is the latest in a string of Nittany Lions who’ve left the program to play elsewhere. Jamari Wheeler is headed to Ohio State, Myreon Jones is on his way to Florida, and Trent Buttrick is transferring to UMass.
