Philly Sports Superfan Giovanni Hamilton Visits Beaver Stadium
It’s safe to say Philly sports superfan Giovanni Hamilton had a night to remember when he visited Happy Valley Friday.
The 13-year-old Philadelphia sports Twitter icon, who’s gone viral multiple times for his love of Carson Wentz, made the trip to State College to take in Penn State’s final spring football practice. He got the night started by meeting James Franklin and the Nittany Lion on the field alongside some family members.

Later on, he caught up with former Penn State wide receiver KJ Hamler, who signed Hamilton’s No. 1 jersey — the same number Hamler wore as a Nittany Lion not too long ago.
Before the practice ended, Hamilton hung out with Beaver Stadium music man PJ Mullen to lead a hearty “We Are” chant. He also received a flat-screen TV from none other than Penn State’s PSU TV Guy.

Hamilton is no stranger to Penn State football fandom at this point. Earlier this year, he received a personal care package from Franklin and the program — an especially cool gift for Hamilton, who says he hopes to one day be a professional football coach, too.
Hamilton has a rare condition called Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, which causes muscle weakness and bone dysplasia. He often documents his lengthy treatment process on his Twitter page, which has amassed more than 36,000 followers.
Hamilton’s used his newfound Twitter fame to start a podcast on Eagles Brawl. His infectious enthusiasm singlehandedly makes Philly sports Twitter a better place.
