Former Penn State Men’s Hockey Forward Sam Sternschein Transfers To Boston College
Former Penn State men’s hockey forward Sam Sternschein will use his final year of eligibility at Boston College for the 2021-22 season, according to a tweet posted Wednesday.

The forward put up seven points (two goals, five assists) in 19 games this past season. In his junior season, the New York native tied the team lead for goals with 12 and added five assists, ending the season with 17 points in 29 games.
Sternschein posted 18 points (nine goals, nine assists) in 30 games, a career-best, with the program his sophomore season. Additionally, he totaled 10 points (five goals, five assists) in 25 games as a freshman.
While Sternschein’s senior season was his quietest, he contributed when it counted and scored the lone goal in the Nittany Lions’ matchup against the Spartans in January.
In his sophomore season, he was named an Academic All-Big Ten selection. He also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors during his junior season.
