‘Seats For Servicemembers’ Applications Set To Open September 13

Honorary ticket applications for Penn State football’s Military Appreciation game are set to open on Monday, September 13, the university announced last week.

This year’s game is set for Saturday, November 20 against Rutgers. Tickets for active duty, military families, and service members will be available online at no cost thanks to the Seats for Servicemembers program.

Those who are eligible can request tickets through the ticket application website starting at noon on September 13. However, the tickets are first-come, first-serve basis.

In addition to the game itself, ticket holders are invited to a pregame tailgate at the Bryce Jordan Center.

All active-duty guard and reserve military members, veterans, and fallen and gold star families are qualified to claim one honorary ticket for themselves and three extra seats for family members. Those who receive complimentary tickets can request two extra tickets for $35 each.

Service members who already have tickets and wish to attend the pregame tailgate at the Bryce Jordan Center are welcome to but must show a ticket for admission. To request tickets to the tailgate, contact seatsforservice@psu.edu

Supporters are welcome to buy tickets that go toward the Seats for Servicemembers program by clicking here or calling 1-800-NITTANY between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
