Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Goalie Aleric Fyock Named Division I Player Of The Week
Penn State men’s lacrosse goalie Aleric Fyock was named the Division I Player of the Week by USA Lacrosse Magazine Tuesday morning.

Stopped 20 of final 24 shots he faced
Fyock helped the Nittany Lions to a huge upset win against No. 5 Yale 10-6 Saturday. He led the way with 21 saves and allowed just one score in the second half. The Maryland native was also able to post a season-high with a save percentage of .778.
A shutout in the third quarter allowed the Nittany Lions to go ahead by three, which ended up being enough to carry them past the Bulldogs. Out of the last 24 shots he faced, Fyock was able to make 20 saves.
After a fairly slow start in Penn State’s season opener, Fyock has clearly gotten comfortable in between the pipes. He has since recorded 13, 13, 15, and 21 saves.
Goaltending will be a huge factor while Penn State tries to build momentum after this past weekend’s upset. Saturday’s win helped the Nittany Lions improve to 2-3 on the season.
This Saturday, Penn State will take on No. 6 Penn in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Crown Classic. That game will begin at 4 p.m.
