Don’t Flip Out: Flipps Is Back At Findlay Commons

Following a long closure, Findlay Commons staple Flipps is back, baby.

On March 20, the grill opened back up to serve East Halls residents. Flipps closed last September, likely due to the staffing shortages still affecting Penn State dining halls, and hadn’t reopened until this weekend.

As always, Flipps is serving up burgers, chicken tenders, fries, beverages, and desserts. For now, the grill is accepting orders only through Penn State Go’s mobile ordering app, Penn State Eats.

While Flipps is thankfully back, its return doesn’t come without change. Originally popularized as a late-night option offered at East, the grill’s updated hours of operation are now 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

Still, Flipps’ reopening is likely a welcome sight for any hungry freshman living in East Halls. It joins Grate Chee in the HUB as the latest Penn State dining option to come back online this spring.
