Report: Trace McSorley Waived By Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly waived Trace McSorley, according to Ian Rapoport. The team will keep only Kyler Murray and Colt McCoy as the two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.
Rapoport added that McSorley is expected to be assigned to the practice squad if he goes unclaimed.
The Ashburn, Virginia native signed with Arizona last November. He started all three games for the Cardinals, completing 54% of his passes for 536 yards and one touchdown.

After being drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, McSorley played full two seasons as a backup quarterback for the team and made an appearance against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was waived by Baltimore ahead of the 2021 season and spent most of that year on the team’s practice squad.
