Four-Star Safety Vaboue Toure Commits To Penn State Football

Penn State’s recruiting just keeps getting better.

Four-star safety Vaboue Toure committed to the Nittany Lions Friday, he announced via Twitter. Toure, who chose Penn State over Oklahoma, Kentucky, and others, becomes the 17th player to join the Nittany Lions’ recruiting Class of 2024.

The 6’1″, 185-pound New Jersey native joins Penn State ranked as the 23rd-best safety in the country and the No. 4 player in his home state, according to the 247Sportscomposite rankings. He is the second safety to commit to the Nittany Lions in his recruiting cycle, after the group landed fellow four-star Dejuan Lane on June 4.

Toure joins an already strong recruiting class, which was placed at No. 7 in the country before his commitment.

Toure committed to Penn State soon after his official visit to the program on June 9. While Toure is the first player to commit from the group that visited that weekend, the Nittany Lions picked up three commitments in Lane, Xavier Gilliam, and Deryc Plazz from the group that visited on June 2. Plazz since decommitted.

With one season of high school football left for Toure, check out what he offers the Nittany Lions on his Hudl highlight reel.
