Four-Star Edge Rusher Mylachi Williams Commits To Penn State Football

The best in Pennsylvania stay in Pennsylvania and play for Penn State.

Four-star edge rusher Mylachi Williams committed to Penn State football Saturday, he announced via Instagram livestream. Williams, who selected the Nittany Lions over the likes of Notre Dame, USC, and others, became the 22nd player to join the program’s recruiting Class of 2024.

The Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, native is ranked as the No. 25 edge rusher in the nation and the seventh-best player in his home state, according to the 247Sports’ composite rankings. Standing at 6’3″ and 215 pounds, Williams is also the 13th-best player in Penn State’s recruiting group as of his commitment.

Williams joins an already impressive Penn State recruiting Class of 2024, which was ranked No. 7 in the country before his announcement. He also becomes the second edge rusher to join the group, after the Nittany Lions picked up the commitment of Xavier Gilliam in early June.

Williams’ commitment comes a month following his official visit on June 9. Williams is the second player to commit from the group that visited Penn State that weekend after four-star safety Vaboue Toure committed in June.
