Ezra Nanes Officially Declares State College ‘City Of THON’
For the next 46 hours, State College disappears.
State College Mayor Ezra Nanes officially declared State College as the “City of THON” through Sunday.

“This proclamation is how we can show you, the dancers, the volunteers, the organizers, everybody who donates how proud we are of the work that you are doing right now and throughout the entire year,” Nanes said.
The tradition to rename State College began in 2015 by then-Mayor Elizabeth Goreham.
“Outside of this building, all around you, there is an entire community of people standing, and our hearts are with you,” Nanes said. “We love you. Thank you.”
