Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Standout Matt Traynor Named To USILA Team Of The Week
A stellar performance in Penn State men’s lacrosse dominant win over No. 15 Cornell landed Matt Traynor in the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s (USILA) Team of the Week.
The junior midfielder recorded seven goals on 15 shots and an assist. Traynor impacted the game in more areas than just offensively, though, as his relentless ride led to four turnovers and three groundballs.

Along with his third USILA Team of the Week honor, Traynor was also named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week. In six games this season, the midfielder has averaged 3.83 goals per game, good enough for third-best in the country.
Next up, Penn State will travel to Springfield, Pennsylvania, to take on Marquette on Saturday, March 16. The game starts at 2 p.m.
