
Our friends over at New Leaf Initiative have a cool new series of workshops to help members of our community "learn the skills you most need to do the work you want." Called "Seed School," the workshops are broken down into four theme weeks: Connect, Thrive, Design, and Launch.

THAW was supposed to turn the faux holiday into a community-oriented event, something could bring local families and students together for film showings, comedians, and musical performances. But in the end, it seemed that the festival's first year was unfortunately a flop, failing to garner any real traction.

Registration is now open for the "Toughest Little Marathon in the East" -- the 3rd Annual Mt. Nittany Marathon on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 7:00 AM. All proceeds from the race benefit the Mount Nittany Conservancy, a public charity whose mission is to conserve and preserve Mt. Nittany, the iconic symbol of Happy Valley.
