The State Theatre: My Name is Pablo Picasso

picasso_selfportraitsmWhat: A play by Australian playwright Mary Gage that depicts the life of Pablo Picasso on the verge of inventing cubism. Lest you doubted the excitement and tension inherent in Picasso’s struggle to create an artistic movement, the play contains “adult language and nudity.” The play features Boalsburg resident M.P. Bernosky and State College’s own Elaine Meder-Wilgus as director.

When: Friday May 1 at 8:00 p.m., Saturday May 2 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m., Sunday May 3 at 2:00 p.m., Friday May 8 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday May 9 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sunday May 10 at 2:00 p.m.

Where: The State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave.
