Moody's cited several reasons for the rating, most notably including improved university governance. “[Penn State's rating] reflects its position as one of the nation's largest and leading public universities, sustained philanthropic support, modest financial leverage and significantly strengthened governance and management practices,” the report says.

Penn State men's lacrosse earned some All-Big Ten honors Tuesday afternoon in advance of the inaugural Big Ten tournament. TJ Sanders and Mike Sutton were both named All-Big Ten honorable mentions while Kyle Zittel received the team's Sportsmanship Award.

It was just that Monday evening as Ron Paul and Barney Frank parleyed the role of government in a civil society in Schwab Auditorium in The Great Debate, made possible by the College Republicans and College Democrats.
