Five-star defensive end Micah Parsons decommitted from James Franklin’s top five 2018 recruiting class. He is reopening his recruitment where the Nittany Lions are still among his choices, according to the tweet he put out Sunday night.

Five-star defensive end Micah Parsons decommitted from James Franklin’s top five 2018 recruiting class. He is reopening his recruitment where the Nittany Lions are still among his choices, according to the tweet he put out Sunday night.
The No. 3 ranked recruit in the nation, according to 247 sports, is one of the most highly-touted recruits to sign on with James Franklin during the coach’s four-year tenure. The Harrisburg native is also the No. 1 defensive end in the country and a three-time All-State AAAA honoree heading into his senior season.
More recently though, Parsons pledge to the Nittany Lions had been wavering, with him naming his dog Brutus and visiting a number of other schools.
