Joey Julius Announces Return To Treatment Center For Eating Disorder

Joey Julius announced on Facebook Friday that he has returned to the McCallum Place treatment center in St. Louis due to his struggles with an eating disorder.

Julius, who did not play in the Blue-White game and said he has not been at school, first revealed his battle with the eating disorder back in October. The Penn State kicker missed time with the team following the Spring 2016 semester through most of the summer while receiving treatment in St. Louis originally.

“Just as an update I am doing well and the treatment is helping. There is light at the end of the tunnel. It is just a very long tunnel,” Julius said in his post.

Julius also wrote in the post that he is planning to start a blog to discuss his journey and listed an address if anyone wishes to send him a letter.

Julius, who said back in October that he’s interested in providing help to anyone going through similar struggles, also wrote Friday, “[f]or anyone out there that has similar struggles I hope you too can seek help in some way. Your feelings should be completely validated and I wish you all the best in your search for recovery.”

Steve Connelly

Unfortunately, former editor Steve Connelly has graduated. Where is he now? He might be doing something related to that PR degree he got in 2019. Maybe he finally opened that sports bar named after one of his photos, the Blurry Zamboni. Or he might just be eating chicken tenders and couch surfing. Anything’s possible. If you really want to know, follow him on Twitter @slc2o.
