The 2021 NFL Draft is still rolling!

The third day of the 2021 NFL Draft kicks off at noon Saturday with rounds four, five, six, and seven in the cards. Penn State football was well represented during the first three rounds, as stars Micah Parsons and Jayson Oweh were both scooped up Thursday night, while tight end Pat Freiermuth heard his named called in the second round Friday night.

Shaka Toney and Michal Menet are among Nittany Lions who have a chance to hear their names called during day three of the draft.

Follow along this afternoon as we update you on all the action and feel free to catch the draft yourself by tuning into either ESPN or NFL Network.

6:49 p.m. — That’ll do it for the 2021 NFL Draft! Thanks for following along with our coverage throughout the three days.

6:41 p.m. — Menet and Fries are the first two Nittany Lion offensive linemen selected in the 2021 draft.

6:30 p.m. — HOLY SMOKES! Back-to-back-to-back Nittany Lions off the board! With the No. 247 overall pick, the Arizona Cardinals select… Penn State center Michal Menet! Additionally, Penn State offensive lineman Will Fries is heading to the Indianapolis Colts with the No. 248 overall pick!

6:24 p.m. — Toney joins Penn Stater Troy Apke in Washington.

Shaka Toney Drafted No. 246 Overall By Washington Football Team

6:21 p.m. — FINALLY! With the No. 246 overall pick, the Washington Football Team selects… Penn State defensive end Shaka Toney!! Toney’s long wait is over, and he now joins the NFC East, which is filled with Penn Staters.

6:13 p.m. — 16 picks left…

5:45 p.m. — We’re onto the seventh round, folks. Shaka Toney, Michal Menet, and others still on the board.

5:36 p.m. — Long snapper! Michigan long snapper Camaron Cheeseman is heading to the Washington Football Team with the No. 225 overall pick.

5:26 p.m. — Toney’s former teammates are a bit surprised with the defensive end’s slide, to say the least.

5:20 p.m. — Micah Parsons weighs in on Toney’s slide.

5:14 p.m. — Quarterback alert! The Colts are taking Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger with the No. 218 overall pick.

5:06 p.m. — The Titans are on the clock with the No. 215 overall pick. We’re more than halfway through the sixth round, folks.

4:37 p.m. — Shaka Toney is still on the board with the Saints on the clock with the No. 206 overall pick.

4:17 p.m. — Penn State’s new commit stands at 6’8″, 340 pounds, folks.

3:42 p.m. — Another Big Ten player has been drafted. Iowa linebacker Nick Niemann is going to the Chargers with the No. 185 overall pick.

3:41 p.m. — The Chargers are now on the clock at the start of the sixth round.

3:40 p.m. — F*llback alert! With the No. 184 overall pick, the Ravens are taking Michigan’s Ben Mason.

3:20 p.m. — Northwestern defensive end Earnest Brown is heading to the Los Angeles Rams with the No. 174 overall pick.

3:18 p.m. — In other news, Penn State baseball is currently beating Michigan State 23-2. That’s right, 23!

3:00 p.m. — We’re in the second half of the fifth round, and Shaka Toney, Michal Menet, and other Nittany Lions are still on the board.

2:38 p.m. — Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade is heading to the Ravens with the No. 160 overall pick. Jahan Dotson knows Wade quite well we’d say.

2:21 p.m. — The New York Jets are taking Michael Carter…AGAIN. After taking North Carolina running back Michael Carter early in the fourth round, Gang Green is now taking Duke cornerback Michael Carter with the No. 154 pick. Wild stuff, folks.

2:04 p.m. — LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is currently on ESPN talking about some LSU players who were drafted. Geaux Tigers!

1:55 p.m. — The Jaguars are taking Ohio State tight end Luke Farrell with the first pick in the fifth round.

1:54 p.m. — The fifth round is underway, and the Jaguars are now on the clock with the No. 145 overall pick.

1:41 p.m. — We’re approaching the end of the fourth round with Shaka Toney presumably the next Nittany Lion to go off the board.

1:23 p.m. — Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book is going to the New Orleans Saints with the No. 133 overall pick.

1:20 p.m. — With the No. 132 overall pick, the Cleveland Browns are taking Ohio State defensive tackle Tommy Togiai. Another Big Ten player off the board.

1:11 p.m. — Texas A&M offensive tackle Dan Moore is heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 128 overall pick.

1:05 p.m. — McPhearson appeared in 24 games for the Nittany Lions before transferring to Texas Tech.

Zech McPhearson Drafted No. 123 Overall By Philadelphia Eagles

1:00 p.m. — With the No. 123 overall pick, the Philadelphia Eagles select… Texas Tech and former Penn State cornerback Zech McPhearson. He transferred to Texas Tech after playing in Happy Valley from 2016 to 2018.

12:48 p.m. — The New York Giants are taking Northern Iowa pass-rusher Elerson Smith with the No. 116 overall pick.

12:42 p.m. — Can’t say we’re surprised.

12:35 p.m. — With the No. 113 overall pick, the Detroit Lions select Purdue linebacker Derrick Barnes. Big Ten represent!

12:31 p.m. — Safe to say it wasn’t a spam call!

12:28 p.m. — Picks are just flying off the board. Lions picked USC wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown with the No. 112 overall pick.

12:15 p.m. — More offense for the New York Jets! Gang Green is going with North Carolina running back Michael Carter with the No. 107 overall pick. That’s four straight offensive players for the Jets to open up their draft.

12:11 p.m. — The fourth round is underway! The Jaguars are taking USC defensive tackle Jay Tufele with the No. 106 overall pick.

11:47 a.m. — We have a long day ahead of us, folks. Several Nittany Lions could hear their names called today, most notably Shaka Toney and Michal Menet.

Day Two

11:43 p.m. — That’ll do it for round three! Check back with us Saturday at noon when the third and final day kicks off.

10:52 p.m. — We’ve got under 20 picks left, folks! We’ll keep you posted if any other Nittany Lions are picked up.

10:12 p.m. — Penn State tight ends coach Ty Howle throws some praise Freiermuth’s way.

9:52 p.m. — With the 69th pick in the draft, the Cincinnati Bengals make a very nice selection in Texas defensive end Joseph Ossai.

9:43 p.m. — James Franklin shares his thoughts on his former tight end.

“The Pittsburgh Steelers just drafted a guy who loves to play the game of football,” Franklin said. “Pat is a coach’s dream and we expect him to bring immediate value to the Steelers.”

9:30 p.m. — Another round, another Nittany Lion drafted! We now head to the third round, and several former Penn State football stars are available, including Shaka Toney.

9:21 p.m. — Congrats, Pittsburgh!

9:02 p.m. — What a moment!

8:55 p.m. — To make things even cooler, Penn State legend Franco Harris announced the pick!

Pat Freiermuth Drafted No. 55 Overall By Pittsburgh Steelers

8:51 p.m. — There it is, folks! With the No. 55 overall pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select… Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth! He’s the third Nittany Lion drafted thus far in the 2021 NFL Draft.

8:42 p.m. — Another pick, still no Freiermuth. The Titans are going with North Dakota State offensive tackle Dillon Radunz with the No. 53 overall pick.

8:36 p.m. — Texas offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi is going to the Washington Football Team with the No. 51 overall pick. Additionally, after trading up for the No. 51 pick, the Browns are selecting Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

8:30 p.m. — Georgia linebacker Azeez Ojulari’s slide is now over. The Giants are taking him with the No. 50 overall pick. After going offense last night with Kadarius Toney, Big Blue decided to go defense here.

8:26 p.m. — Though the Cardinals were considered a possible destination for Freiermuth, Arizona goes with Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore with the No. 49 overall pick. DeAndre Hopkins and Moore are now Kyler Murray’s top targets.

8:24 p.m. — Notre Dame guard Aaron Banks is going to the 49ers with the No. 48 overall pick.

8:16 p.m. — FSU cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. is heading to the Los Angeles Chargers with the No. 47 overall pick. Yes, that’s Asante Samuel’s son. And yes, we all feel old right now.

8:11 p.m. — Clemson offensive tackle Jackson Carman is going to the Bengals with the No. 46 overall pick. A hog molly up front to protect Joe Burrow!

8:08 p.m. — It’s only a matter of time until Pat Freiermuth hears his name called. We’re almost halfway through the second round.

8:07 p.m. — The Cowboys are going with Kentucky defensive back Kelvin Joseph with the No. 44 overall pick. Also, with the No. 45 overall pick, the Jags are picking Stanford offensive tackle Walker Little.

8:01 p.m. — TCU safety Trevon Moehrig’s slide is finally over. The Raiders just picked him with the No. 43 overall pick.

7:56 p.m. — With the No. 42 overall pick, the Miami Dolphins select Notre Dame offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg. Miami went wideout with Jaylen Waddle in the first round, and now it bolsters the offensive line with its second selection.

7:54 p.m. — Three more picks have been made. Oklahoma State offensive tackle Teven Jenkins is going to the Bears, UCF safety Richie Grant is heading to the Falcons, and the Lions have selected Washington defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike.

7:42 p.m. — We’re moving along quickly, folks. The Eagles are taking Alabama guard Landon Dickerson with the No. 37 overall pick. Additionally, with the No. 38 overall pick, the Patriots are taking Alabama defensive tackle Christian Barmore.

7:33 p.m. — North Carolina running back is going to the Broncos with the No. 35 pick, and the Dolphins are taking Oregon safety Jevon Holland with the No. 36 overall pick.

7:23 p.m. — Future Pro Bowl wideout Elijah Moore is heading to the Jets with the No. 34 overall pick. Three offensive picks for Gang Green so far this draft. For a team that has struggled offensively in past years, that’s a pretty good plan!

7:20 p.m. — We stand corrected! Roger Goodell’s chair is still on stage for fans to sit in. Let’s. Go.

7:18 p.m. — Here we go, folks. With the No. 33 overall pick, the Jaguars select Georgia cornerback Tyson Campbell. The New York Jets are now on the clock.

7:13 p.m. — Hello, Franco!

7:11 p.m. — Day two of the 2021 NFL Draft is now open, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are now on the clock!

7:09 p.m. — Important development: Roger Goodell’s legendary chair is NOT on stage tonight. Sad!

7:08 p.m. — Franco Harris is up on stage ahead of the start of the second round!

6:59 p.m. — We’re just a few minutes away from the start of the second round. Pat Freiermuth is expected to hear his name called early on in the night.

6:33 p.m. — Micah has arrived.

Day One

12:05 a.m. — That’ll do it for the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, folks! Tune back in *later tonight* at 7 p.m. for more NFL draft coverage.

12:03 a.m. — With the No. 32 overall pick and final selection in the first round, the defending Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers select Washington pass-rusher Joe Tryon.

12:02 a.m. — Oweh is the first Penn State defensive end drafted in the first round since Jared Odrick in 2010.

Jayson Oweh Drafted No. 31 Overall By Baltimore Ravens

12:00 a.m. — At No. 31 overall, the Baltimore Ravens select… Penn State defensive end Jayson Oweh! He’s the second Nittany Lion off the board tonight.

11:51 p.m. — Another pass-rusher off the board not named Jayson Oweh. The Buffalo Bills selected Miami’s Greg Rousseau with the No. 30 overall pick.

11:45 p.m. — Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes is going to the Green Bay Packers with the No. 29 overall pick. Three more picks left in the first round and Jayson Oweh is still on the board…

11:43 p.m. — “We could not be prouder of Micah.”: James Franklin has nothing but good things to say after Parsons’ NFL dream came true Thursday night.

11:40 p.m. — With the No. 28 overall pick, the New Orleans Saints select Houston pass-rusher Payton Turner.

11:34 p.m. — Two more Big Ten picks are in as we get closer to the conclusion of the first round. With the No. 26 overall pick, the Cleveland Browns took Northwestern corner Greg Newsome II. Additionally, Minnesota wideout Rashod Bateman is heading to the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 27 overall pick.

11:20 p.m. — One running back goes, and now another! Clemson’s Travis Etienne is coming to Jacksonville with Trevor Lawrence via the No. 25 overall pick.

11:11 p.m. — The first running back is finally taken, folks. With the No. 24 overall pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Alabama’s Najee Harris. Alabama having a big night with six first-round picks already, but what else is new.

11:08 p.m. — Two Hokies in a row off the board. Offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw is going to the Minnesota Vikings with the No. 23 overall pick. Minnesota adding some protection for quarterback Kirk Cousins.

11:00 p.m. — Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley is heading to the Tennessee Titans with the No. 22 overall pick. We now have back-to-back defensive players off the board in a first round dominated by offensive players.

10:53 p.m. — More Big Ten action on draft night! With the No. 21 overall pick, the Indianapolis Colts selected Michigan pass-rusher Kwity Paye.

10:44 p.m. — The fourth wideout is now off the board. Florida’s Kadarius Toney is going to the New York Giants with the No. 20 overall pick. Toney joins a receiver room that already has Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, and Darius Slayton.

10:38 p.m. — Kentucky linebacker Jamin Davis is off the board to the Washington Football Team at No. 19 overall.

10:30 p.m. — Two more picks are off the board. With the No. 17 overall pick, the Las Vegas Raiders have taken Alabama offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood. Additionally, Miami pass-rusher Jaelan Phillips is heading to the Miami Dolphins with the No. 18 overall pick.

10:26 p.m. — “I am super excited for Micah to be selected by the Dallas Cowboys and carry on the tradition of LBU,” Penn State defensive coordinator Brent Pry said in a Twitter statement.

10:24 p.m. — James Franklin is recruiting them young!

10:21 p.m. — Things are moving along quite nicely. With the No. 16 overall pick, the Arizona Cardinals have selected Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins.

10:15 p.m. — The Patriots have *maybe* found their Tom Brady successor. Mac Jones is going to the Patriots with the No. 15 overall pick. The consensus top-five ranked quarterbacks are now off the board.

10:12 p.m. — USC offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker is heading to New York with the No. 14 overall pick to build a wall in front of Zach Wilson. Jets with an aggressive move to trade up and get their guy.

10:07 p.m. — The New York Jets are trading up! Gang Green and the Vikings have made a deal for the No. 14 overall pick.

10:01 p.m. — The Chargers are up at No. 13 overall, and they select Northwestern offensive tackle Rashawn Slater to bulk up their offensive line and protect Justin Herbert. That makes three Big Ten selections in a row with Fields, Parsons, and Slater.

9:55 p.m. — “This moment is so big,” Parsons said in an ESPN interview. He said his parents grew up Cowboys fans.

Micah Parsons Drafted No. 12 Overall By Dallas Cowboys

9:50 p.m. — With the No. 12 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select… Micah Parsons! Parsons is heading down to Texas and is the highest-drafted Nittany Lion since Saquon Barkley in 2018.

9:44 p.m. — The Bears have found their quarterback. After trading a haul for the pick, Chicago has taken Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields with the No. 11 overall selection. Penn Stater Allen Robinson now has a new quarterback.

9:38 p.m. — Another trade! The Chicago Bears have traded up to No. 11 overall, presumably for a quarterback

9:36 p.m. — The Eagles have found their star wideout. With the No. 10 overall pick, Philadelphia selects Alabama wideout DeVonta Smith. Jalen Hurts at quarterback, Miles Sanders at running back, and now Smith at wideout. Not too shabby.

9:30 p.m. — Trade! Of all teams, the Eagles and Cowboys have made a deal, which includes No. 10 overall going to Philadelphia in exchange for No. 12 and No. 84 overall.

9:26 p.m. — Back-to-back cornerbacks off the board. The Broncos select Alabama corner Patrick Surtain II with the No. 9 overall pick.

9:25 p.m. — Only a matter of time…

9:18 p.m. — We finally have a defensive player off the board, folks. The Carolina Panthers, in a bit of a surprise, have taken South Carolina cornerback Jaycee Horn with the No. 8 overall pick. After trading for quarterback Sam Darnold a few weeks back, the Panthers have decided to bolster the defense instead of adding pieces on offense.

9:11 p.m. — The first hog molly is off the board. Oregon stud offensive tackle Penei Sewell is off to Detroit with the No. 7 overall pick. Sewell, who is just 20-years-old, opted out of the 2020 season and is considered a “can’t miss” offensive line prospect.

9:04 p.m. — More. Offense. The Miami Dolphins have selected Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle with the No. 6 overall pick. Like Burrow, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa now reunites with one of his college wideouts.

8:58 p.m. — Another pick, another offensive player. LSU star wideout Ja’Marr Chase is heading to the Cincinnati Bengals with the No. 5 overall pick. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is now reunited with his former teammate. Chase had 1,780 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns in 2019 with Burrow as his quarterback, which in our expert opinion, is pretty good.

8:49 p.m. — The stretch of quarterbacks is finally over. With the No. 4 overall pick, the Atlanta Falcons select Florida tight end Kyle Pitts. Many declared Pitts the “best player in the draft,” and now he’ll join an offense that already has Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. Is that good?

8:42 p.m. — The San Francisco 49ers select North Dakota St. quarterback Trey Lance with the No. 3 overall pick. After much speculation that the 49ers would select Alabama quarterback Mac Jones, Lance will lead Kyle Shanahan’s explosive offense.

8:41 p.m. — While the Lawrence and Wilson picks were expected, the draft really starts with the 49ers at No. 3 overall. The pick is in…

8:34 p.m. — Next up is the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets. Future Hall of Famer Zach Wilson is heading to New York with the No. 2 overall pick. The BYU quarterback will now lead an organization that hasn’t made the playoffs since the Mark Sanchez era, folks.

8:25 p.m. — Surprise, surprise. The Jaguars select Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick. Lawrence is heading down to Florida to team up with Urban Meyer.

8:17 p.m. — The 2021 NFL Draft is now open! The Jacksonville Jaguars are now on the clock.

8:15 p.m. — Goodell just announced that for each pick, a fan will come on stage and sit in a chair while the pick is being made. It’s not just any chair, but the chair Goodell sat in last year during the virtual 2020 draft. Wow.

8:12 p.m. — Roger Goodell comes to the stage with a smattering of boos from the crowd. Goodell is playing along and encouraging the boos.

8:06 p.m. — Soon, Micah, soon.

8:01 p.m. — Here we go, folks! ESPN is playing a highlight video with some of the top draft prospects to open up tonight’s draft.

7:57 p.m. — “Kings of Leon” have taken the stage in Cleveland for a live performance ahead of the start of the draft.

7:45 p.m. — Parsons and his son, Malcolm, certainly look fit for the red carpet tonight.

7:34 p.m. — They’re introducing all the in-person draft prospects here in Cleveland, and Micah Parsons came out with his snazzy suit on full display.

7:14 p.m. — The fellas are here!

6:49 p.m. — We’re about an hour out, and this right here is red carpet worthy.
