Four-Star Defensive Lineman T.A. Cunningham Commits To Penn State Football

Penn State football has more than a full defensive line’s worth of recruits.

Four-star defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham committed to Penn State football Saturday, he announced via livestream. Cunningham, who chose the Nittany Lions over Miami, Georgia, and others, becomes the 24th member of the program’s recruiting Class of 2024.

Hailing from Miami, Florida, Cunningham is ranked as the No. 30 defensive lineman in the country and the 34th-best player in his home state, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Standing at 6’6″ and 275 pounds, Cunningham joins a respectable Penn State recruiting class. Before his commitment, the Nittany Lions’ Class of 2024 was ranked No. 5 in the nation by 247Sports. Cunningham is the fifth defensive lineman to join the group after edge rushers Xavier Gilliam and Mylachi Williams and defensive linemen De’Andre Cook and Liam Andrews.

Cunningham transferred to Miami Central for his senior year of high school football but spent his previous years in California. In his junior season, he registered 17 total tackles, including two tackles for a loss, and one fumble recovery, according to MaxPreps.

With one season left before his arrival in Happy Valley, check out Cunningham’s highlight reel here.
