Four-Star Edge Jaylen Harvey Commits To Penn State Football

Penn State’s defensive line just got a bit better.

Four-star defensive end Jaylen Harvey announced his commitment to Penn State football Monday. Harvey is the 25th scholarship-offered member of the Nittany Lions’ recruiting Class of 2024.

The Maryland native is ranked as the No. 30 edge rusher in the country and the 13th-best player in his home state, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He joins Dejuan Lane and Xavier Gilliam as top players to commit to the class from the state.

Standing at 6’3″ and 250 pounds, Harvey joins Penn State as the third defensive end in its recruiting Class of 2024, joining Gilliam, who plays with Harvey at Quince Orchard, and Mylachi Williams as the group’s edge rushers. Thus far, the group has placed itself at No. 12 in the country before Harvey’s commitment, per 247Sports.

With one year remaining in his high school football career, check out Harvey’s Hudl highlights to see what he can bring to the Nittany Lions.
