Penn Kabab: An Onward State Review

As I’ve previously mentioned, Penn Kebab is one of the best places to get some handcrafted fast food. To be honest, I’m not sure how the people who live in the apartments above Penn Kebab don’t weigh 500 pounds, but I guess they possess some self-control.

The IAH Film Fest is Coming to the State Theatre

If you’re not going canning or looking for something to do with your parents this weekend, why not check out some cool films for free at the State Theatre?

Onward & Outward: Alan Seeger Natural Area & Greenwood Fire Tower

As the temperatures in Centre County start to drop, fall colors blanket the region's mountains and valleys. To experience this seasonal change in full, however, you'll need to venture out of the bubble of State College. In this edition of "Onward & Outward", we take you to two hidden gems in Rothrock State Forest: the Alan Seeger Natural Area, and Greenwood Fire Tower.

Munch on History at The Fraser Street Deli

My first thought as I’m walking into The Fraser Street Deli: holy shit this menu is freaking huge. And by huge, I mean there are around two hundred diverse arrays of Boar’s Head Brand Meats and Cheeses, along with 12 different choices of locally baked bread.

Joie de Crêpe Brings Joy No More

I really wish I didn’t have to do this. However, due to a recent trip back to Joie de Crêpe, I feel like I need to write a retraction of some sort. A place where I could once get the best crêpe I’ve ever eaten on this side of the Atlantic, has turned into an establishment I wouldn’t ever go back to. It’s bad, kids. Pretty damn bad.

Noodles and Company Comes to State College

I love noodles. I could eat them for every meal, every day, and every month of the year. (In my ideal world I would—I might weigh 200 pounds heavier but I would be 200% happier). If this is familiar to you in any way, then the opening of Noodles and Company downtown will make you jump for joy as you get your fat pants out of the closet.
