Former Penn State Kicker Robbie Gould Kicking For Charity This Season

Former Penn State football kicker Robbie Gould will donate $500 for every made field goal this season to Cal’s Angels to help in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Gould announced his goal of raising $50,000 for the charity this past September.

Cal’s Angels is a Chicago-based charity that focuses on granting wishes, raising awareness, and research funding for kids battling cancer. The charity was founded in 2007 in memory of 12-year-old Cal Sutter, who died from leukemia in 2006.

Gould has made seven field goals so far this season for San Francisco 49ers with only one miss, which gives him a field goal percentage of 85.7%. With that, he’s raised $3,500 personally so far on the season. According to Gould’s donation tracker, though, his campaign has already raised $6,250, or 12,5% of his goal.

Gould played for the Nittany Lions from 2001 to 2004 and scored a total of 232 career points. The star kicker is tied for eighth all-time in converted field goals for Penn State with 39.

Gould was drafted by the Chicago bears in 2005 and played there for 11 seasons. After a brief stint with the New York Giants in 2016, he joined the 49ers. Gould has been in San Francisco for four seasons and is now in his 16th season in the league.

You can donate to Cal’s Angels through “RG9 Kicks for Kids” here.
